If you have been FULLY VACCINATED at least two weeks prior to your arrival into Roatan NO COVID Test is required for entry. You are able to upload a photo of your vaccination card instead of your COVID test results. Make sure to have your vaccination card with you!

If this applies to you or your group you can skip to step 3 below.

If you have NOT been fully vaccinated here is the process:

    1. You (and everyone in your group, including children and infants over 1 year of age) MUST HAVE a negative COVID Rapid Test (Antigen or Anti-Body) or PCR Test. **Print two copies (just in case!!) of the test and highlight the travelers name, date the test was taken and the results (must obviously be negative)**  Contact us directly if you need help coordinating a location for your COVID Tests.
      • Must have a minimum specificity of 85% and a minimum sensitivity of 98%
      • Must have been taken/administered NO MORE than 72 hours before entering Honduras. This is a hard line requirement and airlines have refused loading if your results are a few hours older
      • Double check all of the details (name, birthdate etc.) on your test results and ensure the date and time the test was taken is on the paperwork
    2. Check out Rapid Test Travel for testing facilities near you or visit your nearest pharmacy
    3. You must log in or create a profile for the Prechequeo Forms
    4. There are 2 forms to fill out 48 hours prior to your arrival:
      1. Precheck form for each traveler - print this form or save the copy electronically
      2. Health from (includes upload of your passport photo page and COVID test results) - printing not required
      3. There MAY be an option to upload your vaccine card instead of the COVID test results, if there isn't simply upload a photo of your vaccine card instead of the results
      4. A Customs Form will be provided onboard your flight for you to fill out
    5. Here is the English User Guide V2.2 to help with filling out the Prechequeo Form!
    6. Double check with your airline to see how far in advance they are recommending you arrive at the airport. Keep in mind bio-security and alternate health screenings will take more time to get through security etc. Gone are the good ‘ol days when we could show up an hour before international flights! Many airlines are suggesting arriving a minimum of 2 - 3 hours prior to your flight

Effective November 8, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) will require ALL air passengers - two years or older – traveling to the United States to present a negative COVID viral test taken within a timeframe based on their vaccination status or present documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days.

All travelers are required to show the following before boarding a flight to the United States.

    • For FULLY VACCINATED travelers: proof of vaccination* and a negative COVID test taken no more than THREE DAYS prior to flight departure
    • For travelers NOT fully vaccinated: a negative COVID test taken no more than ONE DAY before flight departure.

This requirement applies to all travelers two years of age and older**. Although children under two are not required to get a test, the CDC recommends a pre-travel test whenever possible. Passengers must be tested with a viral test – either an antigen test or a PCR test. Both require a swab. An antibody test (“rapid test”), which uses a blood sample, does NOT meet this requirement.

ALL travelers over 5 years of age, regardless of citizenship or vaccination status MUST:

    • Provide proof of a Negative COVID PCR, NAT, NATTs or RT-LAMP test
    • Provide proof of a previous positive test result taken between 14 and 180 days

Tests must be within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your flight to Canada. Keep your test results for the 14 day period after arriving into Canada.

All the information can be found on the Canadian Government Travel Requirements website

    • Don’t forget your mask and hand sanitizer – DUH!!! Oh and your passport too 😊
    • Give yourself plenty of time for check in, security etc. Things have changed folks! No more rushing to the airport last minute!
    • After security head straight to your gate and check in with the gate agents. They may want to see your results/paperwork prior to boarding. Let’s do our part and try to keep the boarding process as smooth as possible
    • Social distance where possible people! We should all know this after this past years of the 'new normal’

    • Most restaurants are open! Some have chosen to either stay closed or unfortunately will be closed permanently :(
    • The good news is……a lot of restaurants have decided to do delivery services! There are also some great apps that offer delivery now as well. Check out Roatan Eats or Hugo for delivery and restaurant options
    • You will be able to circulate around the island 7 days a week from 5 am – 10 pm (curfew is still in effect)
    • Restaurants will be closing usually around 9 or 9:30 pm so staff can safely travel back to their homes
    • Dive Shops are open and would really appreciate your business! We have a great dive shop that we work closely with and can provide transportation to and from their shop
    • Some island activities and tours are still closed. Contact us if you have something in mind and we can get all the details sorted out
